After earning my Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, I packed my bags and headed for the mountains. I started my career on a cardiology floor where I honed my skills in cardiac rhythms and time management. Later, as a float pool nurse, I gained hands-on experience across nearly every unit in the hospital, giving me a unique and well-rounded perspective on the workflows, challenges, and practices of each department.

I have served as Team Lead in the Medical, Surgical, and Neuro Intensive Care Units in Denver, Colorado, as well as in Preoperative Services and the Procedural Center at Nebraska Medicine. In these leadership roles, I’ve been deeply involved in ensuring nursing staff adherence to standards of care, policies, and procedures. My responsibilities have also included reviewing and analyzing thousands of medical records with a critical eye for accuracy, compliance, and potential deviations in care.
